Kingston, New York. Larrimore B. Barr, 49, former Salt Lake resident, died Saturday April 12, 1977, of a sudden illness. He was born in St. Paul Minnesota, son of Mrs. Frances Katz Hartman and the late Samuel Barr. He was a career non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, retiring after 27 years of service, and was a veteran of World War II and the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Disabled Veterans Association, the China Burma India Veterans Association and held numerous military decorations, including the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Rondouf Lodge 343 F &A.M., where he most recently was senior deacon and he was a member of the Temple Emanuel, Kingston, New York. He was also a member of the Masonic Temple where he received Masonic Rites and he also received rites from the DAV. Besides his mother, who lives in Salt Lake City, he is survived by his widow, the former Ruth Bradlow, a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Sharon) Rothe of Saugerties, New York, a son, Joseph Barr of Salt Lake City, a sister, Mrs.Dorothy Lerner of Dallas, Texas, a brother, Jerome Barr of Salt Lake City, and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Temple Emanuel, Kingston, New York. Rabbi Jonathan Elchorn officiated. Burial was in the Montefiore Cemetery, Kingston, New York.
