Mrs. Lester Ely - Helen Rodgers Ely, 77, formerly of 654 St. Joseph Street, died Saturday evening at 8:05 p.m. at Conestoga View. She was born in McPherson, Kansas, the daughter of the late Harry R. Long and Maggie Breneman. She was the widow of Lester Ely. She resided most of life in Lancaster and was a former housekeeper at the Hotel Weber and at one time was employed by Rugh's Gift Shop. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Rodgers Heintzelman of Pittsburg, and a son, Robert L. Rodgers. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
