James Anthony Adcock, 40, of Old Byram Road, a carpenter, died of pneumonia Tuesday at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Services were Thursday at Kennedy Sprigs Baptist Church in Mendenhall with burial in the church cemetery. Mark E. Seepe Funeral Directors handled arrangements.

Mr. Adcock was a native of Mendenhall and a longtime resident of Jackson. He worked as a carpenter in and around the Jackson area for many years. He worshiped at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include: son, James Thomas Adcock of Newark, Calif.; mother, Eva Nell Tyrone of Richland; stepfather, Ed Tyrone of Richland; sisters, Vickie McGee and Tanya Robertson, both of Brandon; and maternal grandfather, V.A. Bynum of Mendenhall.
