DUNN M. LONG - Dunn McCarter Long, 82, of 869 Mulberry Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, formerly of Lancaster, died September 25, 1979 at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown. Before his retirement in 1973, he had been a partner in the firm of Long-Frush Opticians for 13 years. He previously was manager of York Optical Company of Hagerstown from 1934 to 1960. While he lived in Lancaster, prior to 1934, he was a member of Media Heights Golf Club and was a member of McLain Baseball Team of the 1913 era. Born in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Will D. D. Long and Blanche A. Leibley Long. He is survived by his wife, Hilda G. Long, and one daughter, Victoria L. Bringman, Baltimore, Maryland. Source: Lancaster Newspaper.

Dunn was a member of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church. He served with the U. S. Marines during World War I, and a member of Morris Frock Post 42, American Legion, and General Reno Barracks 152, VFW. Services will be held from the A. K. Coffman Funeral Home. The Rev. Arthur L. Grove will officiate. The family requests the omission of flowers and memorials may be made to Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church Window Fund.
