Joe Dumas, 61 - Joe Minton Dumas of Bullard died Sunday at his home following a sudden ilness. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday in the Thompson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Stanley Goad and Rev. Murray Robinson officiating. Burial was in the Bullard Cemetery. Mr. Dumas was born September 18, 1910 in Bullard. He owned a service station there and was a member of the Bullard Methodist Church. Survivors include a brother, Owden Dumas, Bullard; a sister, Mrs. Yula (Marie) Long, Jacksonville; a niece, Mrs. Joseph W. Seale, Beaumont, and a great-nephew, Mark Seale and a great-niece Alisha Seale. Pallbearers were Dale Booth, W. R. Cheek, Howard, Ed Garner, Leonard Smith and Lester Braly.
