The death of Quincy B. Latham, 77, former Perry resident, occurred at the home of his son, Edson Latham in East Avon on Sunday, November 16, 1952. He was born in Napoli on June 12, 1875, the son of Bird and Lu Latham. He was united in marriage on June 24, 1903 with Lena Stapleton of Perry.
He was employed at Robeson Cutlery Plant and later became a barber in Perry. Leaving Perry 25 years ago he relocated in Gainesville and operated a barber shop there.
He is survived by his wife, Lena Latham; a son, Edson Latham of East Avon; a daughter, Val Retzkoe of Stafford; a sister, Mrs. James Keene of Twin Lakes, Georgia; and a brother, George Latham of Batavia. Funeral services were at Eaton Funeral Home on Wednesday with Rev. Arthur Wright of Buffalo officiating. The burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Gainesville.
