Benjamin W. Gross died May 9, 1956 at the home of his son, Richard, on Castile-Gainesville Road after a long illness. He was born in Dansville on November 3, 1876 the son of Charles and Sophie Fox Gross. For the past 40 years he has been engaged in farming. He is survived by his wife, Lottie Bowen Gross; three sons, Justius of Rochester, Richard of Castile, Grant of Hunt; two daughters, Harriet Brigham of Fillmore, Vera Olin of Perry; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Rev. George Kingsley officiated with burial in Maple Grove, Gainesville. Arrangements by Harmon Funeral Home.
