At time of death he was survived by his mother and stepfather, Gracie and W.A. "Bird" Miles of Midland, Texas; three brothers, Billy Gough and wife, Rosemary, Jack Gough, and Donnie Gough, all of Midland, and Billy Miles of Breckenridge and one sister, Charlotte Locke of Glen Rose, Texas.
