Probate records found in Muscogee County, Georgia for Reuben Coats dated 4 Sept 1848 and also in Harris County Georgia, dated 3 MAR 1851 where Abner Coats is appointed guardian, signed by Abner Coats, Charles Huguley (father of Abner's wife, Cynthia) and George C. Huguley."
_______

Rebecca Jane COATS married 23 JAN 1854 in Harris County, Georgia, to George S. HUGULEY, who died 1862. It appears Rebecca had four children, born 1863 to 1875, who used the name HUGULEY, but I have not found yet who their father was. Rebecca J. HUGULEY married 06 AUG 1884 in Muscogee County, Georgia, to Isaac S. FRAZIER, who was apparently dead by 1888. Interestingly, her husband George HUGUGLEY's mother's maiden name was FRAZIER.

Burial record in the sexton's ledger book shows: Mrs. R. J. FRAZIER was born in Lee County, Alabama, died aged 72 years at her residence in Lee County, Alabama, of pellagra, and was buried 13 SEP 1912 in Section 2, Lot 742. The sexton was Emory JEFFERSON.

A. E. Sholes' 1878 city directory for Columbus, Georgia, p. 149:
HUGULEY, Rebecca J. (widow of G. S.), resides on the eastside of Short Street, 4th house south of Crawford Street

1880 federal census of Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, Dwelling 715 / Household 715 (all HUGULEY, all birth places Georgia); Rebecca (40), widow, keeping house; daughter Annie (16), works in cotton mill; son John (10), works in cotton mill; daughter Minnie (4).

Interstate Directory Company's 1884 city directory for Columbus, Georgia, p. 122, shows:
HUGULEY, R. J. (widow) resides in the Northern Liberties
HUGULEY, J. W., works at Muscogee Mills, resides with Mrs. R. J. HUGULEY

R. L. Polk and Company's 1888 city directory of Columbus, Georgia, p. 151, shows:
FRAZIER, Jane (widow of Isaiah), resides on North West Street

1891-92 city directory for Columbus, Georgia, p. 134, shows:
FRAZIER, R. J. (widow of Uriah), resides at 2919 Northwest Street

Zorn's 1894 city directory for Columbus, Georgia, p. 91, shows:
FRAZIER, R. J. (widow of I. S.), resides at 1917 Northwest Street

1900 federal census of Ward 7, Columbus, Militia District 773 (Upper Town District), Muscogee County, Georgia, Dwelling #138 / Household #149, residing at 1917 Northwest Street: R. J. FRAZIER (40, born Nov. 1860 AL UNK UNK) widow, had borne one child, still living, weaver [presumably at a cotton mill]; and daughter Annie BELL (40 Nov. 1860 [sic] AL UNK UNK), a widow who had borne one child, still living [since all of these data for the daughter are identical to the data for the mother, including age and birth date, i suspect they're all in error for the daughter].

R. L. Polk and Company's 1912 city directory for Columbus, Georgia, p. 214 shows:
FRAZIER, Rebecca J. (widow of Isaac) householder at 1917 Northwest Street

R. L. Polk and Company's 1912 city directory for Columbus, Georgia, p. 195 shows:
FRAZIER, Rebecca J., Mrs., householder at 2801 Second Avenue

Dolores Autry's "Historic LInwood Cemetery" book (edited by Lea Dowd et al.), Volume 2, shows from obit: survived by two daughters, Mrs. Annie BELL and Mrs. Minnie NEWSOME, both of Columbus, and two sons, R. A. [HUGULEY or FRAZIER?] of Crawford, Alabama and A. B. [HUGULEY or FRAZIER?] of Seale, Alabama.

When I inherited this memorial the birth place was already Ellerslie, Harris County, Georgia, and the death place Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia. I find no record of this woman's death in Alabama in 1912, and there are no records showing place of death for Georgia / Muscogee County.
