Harold Everet Hart, 92, of Decatur, passed away on Monday(March 6, 2006) at Carlinville Hospital. Harold was born on November 12, 1913, in Waverly, IL, the son of John and Grace (Masters) Hart. He married Jewell A. Tapscott on September 28, 1946, in Decatur. She preceded him in death in 1995.
Harold owned and operated Smith Tire Shop in Decatur and also enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are his daughter Marian Roller of Girard, IL; sister Anna Belle Pearson of Decatur; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife and one sister.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Reverend Eugene Worthy officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment with "Flight Home" ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to DMH Hospice.
