A Memorial Service will be held today, Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at 10 a.m. at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery in Gridley for Wallace W. Womack, 74, of Gridley. He died on Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at his residence.
He was born on July 21, 1929, in Gridley. He was a life-long resident of Gridley. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was stationed in the Pacific. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Gridley, No. 1594. He retired after 30 years with PG&E as a service man.
He loved his home and family.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Jim Womack and stepson, Robert Wedin.
He is survived by his partner, Ida Womack of Gridley. He was a caring father to Donna Kollman of Portland, OR, Janice Devine of Challis, ID, Kristen Womack of Los Angeles, CA and Terry Wedin and Tim Wedin, both of Gridley. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Inurnment will be held at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.
A gathering of friends and family following the service will be held at 1705 Kofford Avenue, Gridley.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.

He was cremated and is buried at the foot of his mother's grave-Helena Womack.
