Always known as "Jennie" by friends & family, she worked at a place in Carlisle, Pa. called "Indian School" or college. I remember her mentioning Jim Thorpe. Later when we lived on 242 N. Pine Street, Lancaster, she worked at a box factory across from us. She had a life-long friend in Carlisle who owned a summer hotel in Asbury Park, New Jersey. For all the rest of her life, she went to Asbury Park early in the summer and opened up the place - hired cooks, housekeepers, etc. So that when the owner arrived everything was ready for the guests. Then she reversed the procedure in the fall, then come home to us. She always had her home with us. She was always active until three weeks before her death at 83. I believe she just got tired. Source: Granddaughter Erma J. Long O'Neill - 1993.

Mrs. Jennie Wolfe, eighty-two, widow of George Wolfe, died from a complication of diseases at 6PM, Saturday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. & Mrs. George N. Surviving are these children: Anna, wife of Frank H. Long; Grace, wife of George N. Crawford, with whom she resided and Harry B., all of this city; also four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The pallbearers were: Frank H. Long, Ralph W. Long, Benton W.
