She was the daughter of Percy and Mildred Clinton. Betty married Edward "Slim" Demings in Los Angeles, California on January 17, 1951. She worked in bookkeeping while living in Utah, but most of all Betty was a homemaker for her husband and children. They enjoyed their lake home at Taylor's Ferry North. Betty enjoyed her bowling leagues, working crossword puzzles and watching the Jeopardy game show. Betty enjoyed music. She had a beautiful alto voice and she loved to sing. Betty was preceded in death by her father and mother, Percy and Mildred and her husband "Slim" passed away in March of 2008.She is survived by her son Richard Sutherland and his wife Connie of Village Mills, Texas and two daughters; Diane Rowan of Muskogee and Pati Stolhand and her husband Mike of Ponca City, OK. Two brothers; Ronnie Barton of Walnut Park, California and David Clinton of Mohave Valley Arizona. Ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other family members and friends. Services will be held at the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner, 2 P.M., Wednesday, February 25, 2009 with Reverend David Howell officiating. Interment will follow at the Pioneer Cemetery.
