William Palmer of Wheatland, Platte County, Wyoming married Nellie Humes in 1925. They owned the property 15 miles west of Wheatland on Lumin Creek. This canyon is still known as Palmer Canyon since the time when a toll road was built through this rough area along the creek bottom known as Palmer Canyon. This road was washed out and flooded many times, in the 1950's a new road was built above and south of the Canyon and still has the name: Palmer Canyon Road.
William and Nellie on the 1910 census had 8 children:
William or Willie, Mabel, Myrtle, Everett, Richard or Dick Dean Palmer b. 22 Sep 1898 in Wheatland, Wyoming, Eldon, Frank O., and Florence A.
William and Norma E. H. Rooth or Roath were married Feb 20, 1889.
