DENISON - Thelma Mae Adcock of Denison, 92-year-old homemaker, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Monday, Jan. 19, 2009 in Gilmer.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24 at Johnson-Moore Chapel with Rev. Gary Elrod officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Adcock was born on Jan. 17, 1917 in Denison, daughter of William S. and Ida Hanson Koiner and attended Denison schools. She married William "Bill" Adcock on July 7, 1933, in Marietta, Okla., and he preceded her in death on June 22, 1981.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Denison.
Pallbearers will be Rudd Still, Rusty Meadville, Don Adcock II, Drew Meadville, Riley Meadville and Daryll Darnell. Honorary pallbearers will be Rudd Gordon Still, Tony Quezada, Seth Quezada and Ryan Nolan Adcock.
Mrs. Adcock is survived by her daughter, Mildred Darnell and husband Frank Jr. of Denison; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 12 great-greatgrandchildren; and son-in-law, Gordon Meadville of Big Sandy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Adcock; son, Don Adcock; daughter, Lillie Meadville; grandson, Ricky Meadville; one great-grandson; and four brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Friday. Condolences may be made at www.johnsonmoorefuneralhome.net.
