Obit:
John C. Canaday, one of the substantial farmers of Carroll County, died at his home west of Bogard early this morning after an illness of several weeks. The immediate cause of his death was heart disease.
Mr. Canaday was a native of Indiana but came to Missouri in 1869 and engaged in farming and the raising of fine hogs. During the past few years, he engaged almost exclusively in raising Chester white hogs, and his herd was one of the best in the world. Mr. Canaday was a clever gentleman, a good citizen, and an upright man, and his death will be sincerely regretted by his host of friends and acquaintances in Carroll County. He leaves a wife and two sons--C.N. Canaday, of Norborne, and J. P. Canaday, of Bogard.
