She is also survived by two sons, Keith (former wife, Bev McGuire) McGuire of Englewood, Colo., and Gary McGuire of Farmington, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Bev (husband, William) Schuster Tumulty of Springfield and Brenda (husband, Kevin) Schuster-McGuire of Lewistown; one stepson, Terry (wife, Teri) Schuster of Oregon, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Agster, Kelly Wintrich, Meagan Wells, William J. Tumulty, Mary E. Tumulty, Lauren Schuster and Ryan Schuster; three great-grandchildren, Maverick, Mazy and Elliott; one sister, Edith (husband, John) Huff of Doe Run, Mo.; three brothers, Bruce (wife, Dortha) Starnes and Wayman (wife, Sue) Starnes, both of St. Louis, and Tom (wife, Shirley) Starnes of Farmington, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Michael McGuire; and nine brothers and sisters.
Evelyn was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother. She was a friend to everyone she met. As an avid quilter, she made more than 75 quilts as gifts for family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, especially fried chicken and chicken and dumplings and was well known for her pies. She was an active member for many years and prayer coordinator of the Church of the New Covenant in Jacksonville.
Services were entrusted to Williamson Funeral Home of Jacksonville, Illinois.
