Redfield - Mrs. Violet E. Darling died Wednesday at her home here.

She was born June 24, 1887, in Orwell, daughter of Richard and Elnora Walter Dean. She was married to Ferdinand Darling on September 2, 1905 in Osceola. Since their marriage the couple had lived in Redfield.

She was a member of Redfield Grange and COngregational Church.

Surviving besides her husband are six daughters, Mrs. Olin Mason, Centerville, Mrs. Velva Pfanz, Yorkville, Mrs. Amy Joiner, Williamstown, Mrs. Daisy Renberg, Amsterdam, Mrs. Dorothy Samson, Gloversville, Miss Evelyn Darling, Redfield, seven sons, Richard, Ivan, Marshall and Lewis all of Gloversville, Robert of Centerville, Ralph of Camden and Raymond Darling, Redfield, four brothers, Leon Dean and Leonard Dean, both of Osceola, Stanley of Redfield, and Ronald Dean Oneida Valley, a sister, Mrs. Hazel Zbytniewski, West Branch, 40 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held Saturday from her home. Burial will be in Orwell Cemetery.
