Waterford, CT - Evelyn Viola Adamo, 85, formerly of Clifton St., Waterford, entered eternal life on Friday Sept. 5, 2008.
She was born Aug. 6, 1923, in New London. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Ozealia (Machie) Perkins. She was united in marriage to Pasquale Adamo on Jan. 17, 1947, in New London, Mr. Adamo predeceased her on Aug. 19, 1992.

She was employed at Sheffield Tools as an operator for 29 years retiring in 1986. Mrs. Adamo served 16 years as treasurer of local 1279 Whalen City Lodge Machinist Union. A communicant of St. Joseph church and was member of the New London Senior Citizens Club.

She is survived by a daughter, Josephine Rossomando of Hamden; four grandchildren; four siblings, Clayton, Tennyson and Ernest Perkins, and Marie Allen.

She was predeceased by a son, Rockford "Rocky" Scullin.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday Sept. 13, 2008, in St. Mary Cemetery, 600 Jefferson Ave., New London.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to New London Senior Citizens Center, 120 Broad St., New London, CT 06320.

The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London has been entrusted with services.
