Dennis E. Warren, 54, died suddenly Monday night at 11:45 o'clock at his home, Aspers R. 1. Dr. C. G. Crist, county coroner, who was called, said death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage.
He had been employed at the Mechanicsburg Naval depot for five years, but for the past year and eight months had been unable to work due to his health.
Born in Adams county, a son of the late William L. and Addie Black Warren, he is survived by his wife, the former Mary Black, one daughter, Ethel Warren, at home; and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Horace Goodyear, Warnersville; Clarence Warren, Aspers R. 1; Mrs. Howard Beard and Mrs. Selrnar H.Hess, Gettysburg; Mrs. Lloyd Hull, New Oxford B. D.; Lewis Warren, Aspers B. 1, and Mrs. Robert Brown, New Oxford R. D.
He was a veteran of World War 1, serving as a private with Battery A, 313th Field Artillery. He was overseas for a year and two days during army service which extended from April 30, 1918 to August 18, 1919,
Funeral services Thursday at 1:30 o'clock from the late home with further services at the Wenksville Methodist Episcopal church, of which he was a member, with the Rev. R. K. Titley officiating.
Interment in the Wenksville cemetery.
Friends may call at the late home Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock
