Deceased Name: Amy C. Bartholomew
A memorial service for Amy C. Bartholomew, 93, a former resident of University Heights, will be at 11 a.m. July 16 in First Presbyterian Church in San Diego. Cremation was planned by Russ Monroe Funeral Home in Sacramento, with ashes to be inurned in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. She died Sunday in a hospital in Carmichael, Calif.
Mrs. Bartholomew was born in La Grange County, Ind., and lived in University Heights for 49 years before moving to Carmichael this April. She was a member of the Audubon Society, the National Wildlife Society, the San Diego Zoological Society and the San Diego Women's Club. As captain of the church's sewing team, she was responsible for making hundreds of pairs of pajamas for a children's receiving home.
Survivors include a daughter, Nona Dormeyer of Carmichael, and two granddaughters. The family suggested donations to charity.
