Mr. Miles was a contractor and home builder for more than 30 years. He specialized in finish carpentry.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Houston, where he was a deacon.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lorene Stottlemyre; and two brothers, Calvin and Howard Miles.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel; a son, Keith Miles of Parkersburg, W.Va.; a daughter, Karen Bowie of Lafayette, La.; a sister, Irene Martin of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Frank Miles of Stover and Dwaine Miles of Rolla; and five grandchildren.
Services are 10 a.m. today (Thursday) at the First Baptist Church in Houston with the Rev. Benny Gard officiating. Burial was in the Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home of Houston.
