Sue Janette Rogers, of Madison County, Kentucky, departed this life on February 24th, 1929 at the age of nine months.

Sue was born on May 20th, 1928, daughter of Lewis Allen Rogers and Susan Jane Rogers. She had erysipelas, an acute skin infection, which made her skin very red on her body. She probably died of blood poisoning or pneumonia. When the disease reached her heart, she died. This was before penicillin, sulfa drugs or antibiotics.

Burial was in the Rogers Cemetery in Madison County, Kentucky.

THIS IS A TRIBUTE IN MEMORY OF SUE,

When God calls little children to dwell with Him above. We mortals sometimes question the wisdom of His love. For no heartache compares with the death of one small child, who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild. Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to His fold. So He picks a rosebud before it can grow old. God knows how much we need them and so He takes but a few, to make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult still somehow we must try. The saddest word mankind will ever know will always be "Goodbye".
