FAIRLAND – Charles L. "Chuck" Durnil, age 60, of Fairland, Ill., died at 3:37 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at his home in Fairland. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, in the Joines Funeral Home, Il. Rt. 130 S. Villa Grove, Ill., with the Rev. Darrell Hinkle officiating.
Burial will be in the Fairland Cemetery, and visitation will be two hours before the services in the funeral home.
Mr. Durnil was born March 1, 1948, in Champaign, Ill., a son of Glenn and Margie (Baker) Durnil.
He is survived by his mother Margie of Hersher, Ill.; sister, Martha (Bernice) Nutt of Branson, Mo.;stepson, William (Melanie) Trinkle of Fairland, Ill.; grandchildren, Samantha Rose, Ashlynn Faith and Amaya Grace Trinkle of Fairland, Ill.; nephew, Wesley Nutt of Tuscola, Ill.; aunts, Doris Schmidt of Champaign, Ill., and Lois Denny of Idaho.
Mr. Durnil was preceded in death by his father, Glenn, brother, Delbert, and his grandparents.
Mr. Durnil worked out of the laborers union for Hoke Construction and J.L. Allen Construction.
Mr. Durnil loved to fish, work in his yard and to play with his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made to the March of Dimes.
