Clyde Russell McWilliams, 91, son of David A. McWilliams and Ella Mackney McWilliams, was born March 5, 1912, at the family farm near Evening Shade. He died Aug. 27, 2003, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.

Mr. McWilliams lived and worked on the farm where he grew up all of his life. He enjoyed tending his livestock and visiting with neighbors and friends.

He attended the Roby Christian Church as long as his health permitted.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Fred McWilliams; three sisters, Myrtle McWilliams, Blanche York and Dessie Walker.

Surviving are nieces and nephews and his caregiver for the last few years, Opal Myers.

Services were Aug. 30 at the Roby Christian Church with David Ingalls officiating. Burial was in the Long Hollow Cemetery near Evening Shade under the direction of Fox Funeral Home of Licking.
