Bishop services held Sunday
Services for Mrs. Minnie Mae Sellers Bishop, 69, of Rt. 4, Mendenhall. were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, from the Mims Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Magee.

Interment was in the Kennedy Springs Cemetery.

Rev. Z. B. McAlpin, Rev. Donald Womack and Rev. C. M. Grayson officiated. Mims Mitchell Funeral Home was in charge.

Mrs. Bishop died an Friday. Feb. 25. at the Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall following a lengthy illness. She was born in Covington County on Sept. 23, 1902 and was a member of Kennedy Springs Baptist Church.

She was a member of Willis Chapter 350, Order of Eastern Star. Morton. Mrs. Bishop and her husband, Rep. T. Melvin Bishop, had been married for 52 years.

Surviving besides her husband are 4 sons, John L. Bishop of Empora, Kan., Van Wallace Bishop of Berlin, Conn., Walter R. Bishop of Prentiss and James Webster Bishop of Mendenhall, 3 daughters. Dolvis J. Stearmer of Franklin, La., Peggy 0. Barney and Annie Lois Johnson, both of Biloxi: 1 brother, Elzie Sellers of Magee; 24 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
