Moving to the Warsaw area in 1991, he was a factory worker for GDX, Wabash, for 38 years, and was a Taxidermist.He was a member of Celebration Church and served in the U.S Army from 1965-67 during the Vietnam era.
Also surviving are two daughters, Angela Brooks, Warsaw, and Kathryn Brooks, Marion; a son, Richard Lee Brooks II, Warsaw;three brothers, Doug and Dewayne Brooks, both of Wabash, and Dean Jines, Columbia City; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel,Warsaw, with Pastor Cindy Gachenheimer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
