Florine was born on February 11, 1925 at Nevada, MO to Elson and Mabel (Young) Wright. She married Vernon H. Allen. He is deceased. Florine married James Allen at Las Vegas and he died July 4, 1993 at Grand Junction, CO. She lived in Grand Junction for 46 years. Her survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Lee and Judy Allen and Vernon and Lanita Allen all of Grand Junction and Robert Allen of Spokane, WA; a sister Ethel Faye Rosier of Ridge Crest, CA; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Her parents and husbands, Vernon and James preceded her in death. Florine attended the Church of Christ. Among her favorite activities was spending time with her family at family gatherings. She also enjoyed traveling and fishing. She had worked as a dietary aid at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and was a homemaker. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. in the Orchard Mesa Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Family Health West Main Street Unit at P. O. Box 130, Fruita, CO 81521. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
