He met his future wife, Florence Kerbow, daughter of Will & Etta, when the families lived on Smokey Road in the Craig Prairie community, Delta County. The families attended church in the Craig Prairie community. Edgar & Florence married Feb. 23, 1918 & 3 sons were born to them. Edgar Lee Alley, Jr. was born Dec. 23, 1918. Wendell Theodore Alley was born Nov. 4, 1922 & Lawrence Elwin Alley was born Sept. 19, 1926.
