Born in Oberlin OH, and a 1938 graduate of OHS, he had been a long-time Akron resident. He retired from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He belonged to both the Englebeck Masonic Lodge and the Church of the Master. He was a proud veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army, and retiring from the service in 1979.
Preceded in death by daughter, Patty, grandson, William Sager, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Billie, and daughter, Robin.
