MULLENS - Mrs. Pearl Acord, 47, died at 2:50 p.m. Friday at her Ravencliff home.
Born June 21, 1906 at Hotchkiss, she was the daughter of the late Ellis and Minerva Cook.
Surviving are her husband, Everett; four sons, Jack, Dale, and Tracey all at home, and Pvt. Freeman Acord, recently returned to the States from an Army assignment in Germany; three daughters, Mrs. Lottie Vaught, Ravencliff; Joy and Tersia at home; three brothers, Fred, Maple Meadow; Jerry, Denmar; and James of Glen Fork; two sisters, Mrs. Bill Acord of Slab Fork, and Mrs. Ralph Halsey of Pierpoint.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Pine Grove Church at Ravencliff. The Rev. Herbert Perry will officiate. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
The body was returned to the Acord residence at 3 p.m. Saturday from the Robertson and Foglesong Funeral Home.
