THE HERRINGTON TIMES Sept 10, 1914 - OBITUARY
JOSEPH B. MORGAN was born at Fairfield, Ohio, January 8, 1850 and died at hishome in Latimer, Sep 7, 1914, aged 64 yrs and 8 mos.
He married on Nov 4, 1886 to Idella Earl. To this union were born 9 children, all living and at home except one, Mrs. Clyde Bloomer who lives in her own home in Herington. He is survived also by 3 sisters, 2 in Salina, Kansas and 1 in California.
Deceased came to Kansas about 30 yrs ago, coming first to Washington county and then to Morris county where he has since made his home having resided inLatimer for 10 yrs.
He had suffered since he was sixteen years of age, from the malady whichfinally broke the thread of life. In this parting hour we are compelled toacknowledge that God's way is best and we still pray God's will be done.
The funeral was held Tuesday Sept 8, at the school house in Latimer by Rev. J. R. Creamer, pastor of the Methodist church in Dwight and the body was laid to rest in the cemetery at White City.
The family has the sympathy of the entire community in their hour of bereavement.
