Stan was born in Copley,Ohio january 1 1925 to Helen and Elmer Coon After graduating from Copley High School in 1942 he inlisted in the U.S. Navy He served during World War II Stan rose to the rank of Chief Petty Officer after his discharge in 1946 He married his high school sweet heart Betty Schweigert,his wife of 47 years. He receved his undergraduate degree From Kent State University in 1950 and his Masters Degree in Education from KSU in 1960 Stan began a lengthy career with the Wadsworth School System in 1950 as an Industrial Arts Teacher In addition to his Teaching duties Stan also served the school system as a bus driver bus mechanic and custodian Stan rose through the ranks serving as director of guideance assistant principal of Wadsworth Sr High and assistant Superintendent he completed His career as superintendent serveing as Superintendent from 1981 until his retirement in 1986 he is survived by His wife Betty and children Tomas Scott and Barbara
