Son of John C.I & Calleen Davis.
Two Bellevue West High School students who played on the football team last fall were killed early Monday after a fiery rollover crash about two miles northwest of Plattsmouth. Bellevue Public School District spokeswoman Cathy Williams said the district received notification that students John Davis Jr. and Ben Glover died in the single-vehicle crash near Plattsmouth. Cass County Sheriff's investigators had issued a news release late Monday morning stating that the sports utility vehicle involved in the crash was registered to the parents of John Davis. Both teenagers who died in the crash were sophomores at Bellevue West and played on the football team, Williams said. School officials planned to have grief counselors available today to meet with students devastated by the deaths of both students, Williams said. School was closed Monday for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. "Right now, we are notifying staff to bring in crisis counselors for tomorrow," Williams said Monday evening. "Bellevue West High School and the Bellevue-Offutt community were saddened by the news we received today of the tragic car accident. Our prayers go out to the families and friends of John and Ben."
