Paul Lamar Wiggins of Maypearl, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at the age of 88. He was born October 9, 1922 to James F. and Laura Wiggins in Maypearl, the fifth of six children.

Paul graduated from Maypearl High School in 1942 and joined the U. S. Army Air Corps in October of 1942, serving until his discharge in January of 1946. He married Evelyn Virginia "Sis" Booher on July 9, 1943. After serving during WWII, he briefly worked for Vought Aircraft and the railroad before opening Wiggins' Service Station in Maypearl in 1948. Paul sold the business and retired in 1999 after 51 years. He was a 50 plus year member of the Masonic Lodge and was the Mayor of Maypearl from 1956 to 1964.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sis; his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
He is survived by his sons, Paul Dwayne Wiggins and his wife, Billie, and Mike Wiggins all of Maypearl; his grandchildren, Brad Wiggins of Dallas, Karen Lucius and her husband, John of Midlothian, Chris Wiggins and his wife, Nancy of Denton, and Pairsh Wiggins of Austin; his great grandchildren, Brennan Wiggins and Logan Wiggins of Denton.
Those serving as pallbearers include Brad Wiggins, Chris Wiggins, Pairsh Wiggins, Charles Reavis, Wendell Stiles and John Lucius.

Services to celebrate his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie with Rev. Ronnie Wiggins officiating. Interment will follow at the Maypearl Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2010 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
