Herman Joseph Raque, 57, of 1018 E. St. Catherine St., passed away Monday, May 16, 1949, at 3 p.m., in V. A. Nichols General Hospital.

He was born on August 10, 1891, in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of John Andrew Raque and Eva Hill.

He is preceded in death by his mother.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Pferrer Raque; his children, Herman E., Robert G., Raymond J., Richard A., and Miss Emma Regina Raque: his father, John Andrew Raque. Sr.; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Lamon and Mrs. Frieda Herberger: one step-sister, three half-sisters: and three brothers, John Andrew, Jr., Martin, and Ollie Raque; two half-brothers, Slyvester and Pete Raque, one stepbrother, Ben Beyers, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in Arch L. Heady Funeral Home, Oak and Schiller Ave., at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, and in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery.

The members of the Columbia Athletic Club will kindly meet at the funeral home Wednesday at 7.30 p.m.
