Noah was a member of the 44th Alabama Infantry, Company I, Civil War Private. He enlisted in Randolph County, Alabama on 24 Apr 1862 and was captured at Richmond on 03 Apr 1865. He was released 15 Jun 1865. Confederate Film M374 Roll 29.

He was slightly wounded twice in the face--once at Gettysburg, Pa.
