Collier County — Ernest E. Nelson

Ernest E. Nelson, 90, a resident of Immokalee for 50 years, died Sunday, November 20, 1994, at his home. Mr. Nelson was a barber and had owned and operated Nelson's Barber Shop on Main Street for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Effie E. Nelson of Immokalee; two sons, G. G. Nelson of Hayden, Alabama, and Bobby Nelson of Brooksville, Florida; one step-son, Jack Payne of Tacoma, Washington; two daughters, Wanda Wright of Hayden, Alabama, and Patsy Cohen of Immokalee; one step-daughter, Mae Dunn of Philadelphia, Mississippi; one brother, Hobson Nelson of Bessemer, Alabama; one sister, Annie Paul Overton of Shawmut, Alabama; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be tonight from 6–8 p.m. at Brister Funeral Home with a service at 6:30 p.m. with Rev. Byron Hendry officiating.
