NELSON, HOBSON R. "HOBBY", age 88, of Bessemer, died June 11, 2003. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Double Springs. Mr. Nelson was retired from Pullman Standard and was also a WWII Veteran. He was also a volunteer at Bessemer Carraway with the Sr. Care Program. Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 14, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Double Springs. Body will lie in state from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. He is survived by wife of 44 years, Polly Ann Nelson, Bessemer; his sister, Anna Paul Overton, Double Springs; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Bro.
