Georgia Anna Crews was born Jan. 19, 1863, in Dallas County, Mo., and passed away March 12, 1945 a the home of her son Carl Jerome two miles northeast of Everton, at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 21 days.

She was the daughter and only child of George and Katherine Crews. Her father was a soldier in the Civil war, and was killed shortly before she as born.

She was united in marriage to George Edward Jerome in 1882. She spent most of her life in Dade County, coming here when only a girl.

She was the mother of three sons, Estel Byrd, Frank Edward and Carl Jerome. Estel departed this life in 1900 and Frank in 1925. Her husband also preceded her in death, Nov. 12, 1943, just 16 months before her death. Their birthdays were also on the same day of the month, Jan. 19 and March 19th.

Mrs. Jerome and her husband lived over 30 years on the same farm east of Everton.

Since the death of her husband she has resided with her son.

Mrs. Jerome united with the Methodist church at an early age, and remained of that faith until the end of her life. She was a splendid Christian character, kindly affectionate to all her loved ones and friends, never criticizing others, not pitying herself, nor finding fault with any thing.

She leaves behind to miss her, one son, Carl Jerome, his wife, Esther, two grandsons, Wm. Edward and Robert Carl and their maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Catherine Corell, of the home near Everton, one half sister, Mrs. J.S. Jerome of Eagle, Idaho, a number of nieces and nephews, and a host of friends and neighbors who will always remember her for her kindly spirit, and loving disposition.

As the family diminishes here it is increasing over there where, when fully re-assembled, there will be no more parting.
