LOCAL PHYSICIAN DIES AT DALLAS, RITES HELD HERE
Funeral rites were held at the First Baptist Church Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock for Dr. Charles T. McDonald, 70-year-old retired physician, who died at the Baylor Hospital at Dallas, Texas Sunday.
Dr. McDonald, who had been a physician at Idabel and at Broken Bow, (Oklahoma) had been ill for several months before his death, and he had been in the Dallas hospital since February.
Rev. W.B. Tatum, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiated at the services, marked by an unusual crowd and many floral offerings.
Pallbearers included Clem Williams, Otis Saylor, Frank Wooten, Odis Burns, Pat Slater and Lee Weaver.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Coffey Funeral home. Burial was scheduled for Saline, La.
Dr. McDonald is survived by three brothers, namely A.L. McDonald, Winnfield, La., Clarence McDonald, Mannford, and Henry McDonald, Pauls Valley, and one half-brother, Harry McDonald, Dallas, Texas.
Dr. McDonald, who lived in McCurtain county for 30 years, also had practiced at Garvin.
