Myrtle was 22 when she married John Harnish in Lancaster. She worked as a milliner at a women's hat shop in Lancaster. Myrtle died of tuberculosis - just eight months after marrying John. No children from this marriage.

Mrs. Myrtle B., wife of John Harnish, Jr., died at the home of her mother-in-law, Mrs. John Harnish, Sr., at 3:20 o'clock this morning of pulmonary trouble, in the twenty-fourth year of her age. She is survived by her husband, her father and mother, Mr. & Mrs. Harry Long, of this city, and one brother and two sisters. The funeral will be held from the house at 2 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon. Interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery. She was a member of the Church of God. Source: Lancaster Newspaper.
