Marvin Hayes Hogue Jr., age 61, died at Conway Regional Hospital on Thursday, November 13, 2008. Mr. Hogue was born March 1, 1947 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Morrilton to the late Marvin Hayes, Sr. and Gerry Williams Hogue.
Mr. Hogue is survived by his wife Carol Meyer Hogue; two sons, Michael Hogue of Champaign, Illinois and John Hogue and his wife Elizabeth of Sherwood; two grandchildren, Madison and Caleb Hogue; two sisters, Mary Wood of Sherwood and Betsy Beacham of Conway. Mr. Hogue is preceded in death by his father and mother Marvin Hayes, Sr. and Gerry.
Hayes served three years with Morrilton Police Department and 27 years with Arkansas State Police until he retired in 1999. He was a member of the Petit Jean Church of Christ.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2008, at the Downtown Church of Christ in Morrilton with Mr. Ted Gipson, Dwayne Luter and Bro. Bob Parker officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Creek Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2008, at the funeral home.
