Darwin V. Pearson, 88 of Decatur passed away 8 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 22, 2001) in his residence.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home, with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Springfield.
Mr. Pearson was born September 5, 1913, in Jacksonville, the son of Edward and Clora May (Foster) Pearson. He married Anna Belle Hart on April 26, 1945. Mr. Pearson was an Army veteran of World War II. He worked for Decatur publis schools as a custodian. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Belle of Decatur; sons, John and wife Jan of California; Robert and wife Delores of Texas; daughter, Karen McGowan Yokley of Cerro Gordo; grandchildren; Mathew Massey, Mark Massey, Dawn McLaughlin; five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter.
