Services for Loise G. Graves, 92, of Jefferson City, Mo., formerly of Gilmer, will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2008, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer, with Larry W. Osborne officiating. Interment will be in Gilmer City Cemetery. Mrs. Graves died December 25, 2008, in Jefferson City, Mo.
Born November 23, 1916, in Ennis, she was a well-known columnist and feature writer for the Gilmer Mirror and other newspapers in Texas and Shreveport, La., and a member of First Baptist Church in Gilmer for 76 years. Survivors include her sons, James Dixon Graves Jr. and Lynn J. Graves.
