May Bray, 96, 1904, N. U.S. 81, died Tuesday, March 13, 1990, in a local nursing home.
Service was to have been at 2:30 p.m. today in the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Stough officiating. Burial was in Duncan Cemetery.
Mrs. Bray was born May 4, 1893, in Sanger, Texas. She came to Duncan at age 4. The daughter of early day settlers, her father, "Pappy Hickey," had a hotel and first taxi service. She was a homemaker and had various jobs as a taxi dispatcher and cook at Weeden Hospital. On June 3, 1917, she married William C. Bray. He died Dec. 6, 1932.
Survivors included two sons, Bobby Reeves Bray of Bedford, Texas, and Gene Calvin Bray of Edmond; two daughters, Lou Littig of Duncan, and Ann McGowen of Ardmore; 19 granchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
