Heather L. Walton-Kok, age 20, of Bellingham passed away on Monday, October 24, 2005. She was born in Bellingham to Brian Kok and Terri Walton and raised in Ferndale with the help of her grandmother, Shirley Fredrickson.

Heather was a kind and gentle person who excelled in school and athletics. She was co-editor of the yearbook and an honors graduate of Ferndale High School in 2003.

Heather received the Thomas Wynne Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement and also received a scholarship for her athletic ability. She was in her third year at Western Washington University.

Heather was a wonderful letter writer who loved sharing in writing her thoughts with friends and family.

Heather was preceded in death by grandfather Harold (Tuffy) Fredrickson in 1991.

A visitation will be held at Ferndale-Moles Funeral Home on Friday, October 28, from 9 am to 5 pm. A celebration of Heather's life is scheduled for Saturday, October 29, 2005, at 1:00 PM at Good News Fellowship Church, 1252 W. Axton Road in Ferndale. Burial will take place at a later date at Enterprise Cemetery.
