Mrs. Lillian C. Badder, 88, of 302 Mill street, died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday at Ionia County Memorial hospital where she had been a patient since December 30.
She was born in Sebewa township September 15, 1876, daughter of Walker and Elizabeth Admey Downing, and September 11, 1895 was married to Myron Badder of Ionia. They lived on a farm on Kelsey highway from 1916 to 1947 when they moved to Ionia. Mr. Badder died August 10, 1960.
Mrs. Badder was a member of Le Valley Methodist church and WSCS of the church. She was also a member of Minnie Howard and Social Hour clubs.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Albert Hermans of Lowell, Mrs. Charles Croel of Ionia and Mrs. John Kenny of South Ionia; two sons, Fred Badder of Battle Creek and Donald of Ionia; 26 grand and 32 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Thomas Downing of Sebewa.
Funeral service will be at LeValley Methodist church Wednesday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Earle J. Stine officiating and interment at Tuttle cemetery. The family will be at Boynton funeral home Monday and Tuesday evenings.
