Daughter of Robert Newton Hopkins and Grace (Jewell) Hopkins. Prior to retiring Bettye worked as a Custodian for the Sand Springs Public School System. She and William Gordon Aaron were married at Calvary Heights Temple in Tulsa on August 23, 1948. Betty was still a member of that church at the time of her death. William preceded her in death in January of 2000.

Survivors include daughter, and two sons, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one sister, and one brother.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband William Gordon Aaron, her daughter Denise Rae Slaven and three sisters and two brothers.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 20th from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 21st, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 22, 2008 at Calvary Heights Temple, 2200 W Edison, Tulsa, with Reverend Ronald Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Memorial Park under the direction of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service.
