Roy Thomas Hilley
Graveside services for Roy Thomas Hilley,85, of Washington Road, Lexington, were held Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at the Wynne-Thaxton Cemetery in Oglethorpe County. He died Monday, October 15, at the Veterans Adminstration Medical Center in Augusta.
Mr Hilley was the son of the late James Edgar Hilley and Agnes Holloway Hilley. He was an auto mechanic and was a medic in the US Army in World War II in the European Theater. He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Arnold Hilley of Lexington; three sons, Roy T Hilley Jr., David N. Hilley and Billy G. Hilley, all of Lexington; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangments.
